ACRES scorecard deadline extended

The deadline for advisers to submit ACRES scorecards for results-based actions under the scheme has been extended until Friday 29th September.

The Minister for Agriculture said just under 40% of all scorecards have been submitted so far, he said the deadline was being extended due to the extra workload it creates for advisers and the importance of getting the baseline scores submitted in the first year of the scheme.

Best practice in milking course 

Teagasc is running a Best Practice in Milking Course in Moorepark on 30th and 31st August.

The course has been developed by [tag] Teagasc, [tag] AHI (Animal Health Ireland) and [tag] FRS Network (Farm Relief Services) for dairy farmers and anyone wishing to work as a dairy farm relief operator. The programme is designed to develop your skills as a milker to ensure all cows are milked effectively and efficiently, it covers the theory and practical elements of milking.
